Life can be difficult but it is far more challenging if you have a disability. Our ambition is to make the lives of people with disabilities a bit smoother by helping businesses and organisations offer greater equality and accessibility, whether they are members of staff or customers. We strive to show them how to embrace the diverse needs of people with disabilities and ensure that they are seamlessly included without barriers. All this is carried out in a friendly, professional and open manner.

Services

Accessibility Assessment

This involves visiting your organisation to assess how accessible and inclusive it is. An accessibility assessment can be an important part of your risk management procedures to ensure you are complying with the requirements of the Equality Act 2010 and that you are providing an equal service to all. As well as exploring the premises and using the services, we can hold focus groups with the staff and if applicable, customers, to discover their thoughts and experiences about the inclusiveness and accessibility of the organisation. The findings of the visit will be reported and further guidance can be given to help identify improvements that can be made.

Mystery Visitor

A mystery visit will provide valuable insight of the service experience through the eyes of a person with disabilities. It will give a realistic picture of how accessible the organisation is and whether it embraces the needs of people with disabilities.

During the visit we will use your premises, services and interact with your staff to gain an understanding of whether your organisation has taken appropriate action so that your business is inclusive for people with disabilities. The findings will be reported back and further guidance can be given for improvements that can be made.

Disability and Visual Awareness Training

We offer personalised training to meet the needs of your organisation in offering services that embrace equality and diversity. We can also present your own training material.

The issues covered could include:

  • Understanding what it is like to be a person with disabilities.
  • Challenging perceptions and discussing how their experiences of the company could be more inclusive.
  • Guidance on how to communicate effectively with people who have disabilities.
  • Reassurance that you are complying with the Equality Act 2010.
